Stroud School of Samba have been bringing a bit of Brazilian musical magic to the streets of Stroud and beyond since 1994. Playing some driving batucada from Rio, a bit of Bahian samba-reggae, alongside some other Brazilian rhythms as well as one or two of our own we are loud and proud.

Since 2007 many of our gigs have been enhanced with style and energy by some fantastic dancers. And we would like more! Dancing is open to both genders, and all ages and abilities.

Stroud School of Samba practice samba every Wednesday at Frith Youth Centre from 7:30 to 9:30, usually followed by a drink at the Kings Head afterwards...
If you are a beginner, you are very welcome to come along and we'll ease you in gently.
